The EPIC Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering EPIC System training and evaluating non-clinical training. Specifically, this individual would provide training related to individual and team growth, communication skills, customer service and the patient experience, new associate orientation and other areas as requested or assigned.  Additional responsibilites include designing instruction, preparing materials and training that demonstrate an understanding of adult learning principles. In addition, they are responsible for measuring and evaluating learning needs and outcomes through learning needs assessments and evaluations. They maintain learning records and create outcomes reports.



  • Bachelor’s degree, in training or other related area required. Masters preferred.
  • 3 + years of experience as trainer, facilitator and learning professional required.
  • Credentialing as an EPIC trainer is required
  • Certification in EPIC is preferred and may be required.
  • Position requires excellent presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles. Knowledge of adult learning practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in developing CBT course content, design specifications, learning objectives, lesson topics, and teaming activities.
  • Plan, design and develop interactive content for E-Learning/Computer-Based Training (CBT) courses using Articulate, Captivate, Flash, Adobe, etc.
  • Certifications in Blanchard Training, DDI, Franklin Covey, DiSC, or MBTI highly desirable. Certification in Information-Mapping is highly desirable.
  • Consultation and evaluation skills preferred.
  • Able to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Flexibility in work schedule is a must. Position is located in Tarrytown, New York, but travel may be required.
