APPLICATION ANALYST STERILE PROCESSING AND O/R SYSTEMS

YONKERS, NY, US


Montefiore is investing in state-of-the-art clinical information systems to help us best support the communities we serve. These initiatives include a new sterile processing information system, starting with 5 critical sites. Our IT department seeks a talented analyst to participate in implementing Microsystems SPM and to work on other Ancillary Systems tools and projects. The role includes working on implementing the new cloud-based software, collaborating with other teams including for on-premises servers, hardware such as barcode scanners and printers, and other tools. Once Microsystems SPM is implemented, the person in this role will expand their responsibilities to include Epic OpTime and must become certified in OpTime.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Install new applications and components. Upgrade existing applications. Configure application settings.
  • Participate in defining go-live and rollout support schedule. Assist in the coordination of field support activities. Participate in build, implementation, and support.
  • Support users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
  • Oversee/perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with the appropriate Montefiore IT associate or the vendor to coordinate the modification.
  • Provide advanced application troubleshooting support for the application(s).
  • Resolve critical issues independently as necessary. Forward issues to the correct group for remediation or elevate it to the vendor if required.

 

 

Requirements include:

 

  • 2+ years of experience in an IT role in an enterprise hospital/medical environment
  • Knowledge of OR workflows
  • Experience with sterile processing system or environment
  • Experience with ancillary systems software
  • Experience working with clinical and operations stakeholders
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Strong desktop skills
  • Good communications, time management, and interpersonal skills.

 

Desired:

 

  • Epic certification in Optime. Experience with Epic or another EMR.

 

Obtaining Epic OpTime certification is a condition of employment.
