The Director is a departmental leadership role for seasoned PMs possessing a minimum of 10 years of direct PM experience.  This role is responsible for leading the PMO departmental function and driving its core activities.  This role will establish the vision and strategic direction of the PMO function and will serve as the primary externally-facing PMO leader to customer stakeholders within the CMO and other non-MHS entities.  The Director will be responsible for driving positive relationships with key external stakeholders that will help navigate and negotiate through differing perspectives or potential conflict. This role will include monitoring of overall departmental performance and key decision-making that have major implications for high-visibility projects.  This role will require leadership experience to drive the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the department and that will align with overall CMO and MHS goals.  This role will include formulation of PMO strategies around departmental processes and operations as well as enabling methodologies, tools and templates.  The Director will guide, mentor and develop other PMO leadership resources to help execute and deploy the overall PMO strategic vision and objectives.
