The Senior Application Analyst is responsible for the implementation of new applications, upgrades and modifications. The Senior Application Analyst is also responsible for the application configuration, go-live support, and on-going client support. The Senior Application Analyst works on multiple projects concurrently.


The Senior Application Analyst will support, maintain, upgrade and optimize thr Epic ASAP module and associated third-party systems. Additionally, will support other related projects and initiatives.


The Senior Application Analyst will achieve in-depth knowledge of the Epic ASAP application and serve as a liaison between users and the Epic implementation staff. Additionally, the Epic Senior Application Analyst performs a thorough analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues associated with Epic software. This Senior Analyst prepares detailed requirements specifications and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems and procedures that meet user requirements. The Senior Analyst will review and test new releases and document all outcomes of testing and serve as the support contact for the application. This position has responsibility within all phases of the application implementation including design, build, test, installation, and maintenance of the application.


•    Epic certification in ASAP, Orders or ClinDoc modules (strong consideration will be given to candidates that are not currently certified but can demonstrate ability to become certified)
•    5+ years of related clinical, healthcare or technical experience
•    Knowledge of system development and life cycle processes related to application implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and support
•    Project Management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflict, maintain issues list, and manage a project plan),
•    Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
•    Knowledge of clinical area or business area to be supported
•    Experience in determining how a new system, upgrade or new component can best meet the needs of end users
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
•    Strong communication, interpersonal and rapport-building skills
•    Strong presentation skills
•    On-call, rotational support on a rotating basis


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Epic certification in ASAP, Orders or ClinDoc
  • Knowledge of emergency department workflows
  • Experience working with third-party application vendors
  • Programming or other technical skills beneficial
