Our Epic Training and Education Team is hiring a Training Lead for Epic - *Maintaining an Epic Certification will be required 


A training lead performs several tasks designed to enhance employee performance. When the training team hires new credentialed trainers, the lead oversees the implementation of the induction program to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.  A team leader will be the contact point for all team members, so communication skills should be excellent. Team Lead would act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.


Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills when developing credentialed trainer programs that address the training department knowledge and skills. Uses decision-making skills to select the most effective method to use training resources against training demands. The training lead also uses personnel management skills to supervise staff of credentialed trainers’ skills to manage training resources and communication skills to give clear presentations and instructions.


Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture setting clear team goals and delegating tasks and set deadlines for your internal team. A qualified team leader will manage a credentialed trainer team and provide effective guidance. The Epic Certified Team Lead will participate in day-to-day execution of advanced level technical activities - In conjunction with the manager, and provide direction to a small team.
o    Oversee assignments and the work of team members.
o    Participate in planning the work, delegating effectively and following up with staff, to provide support and guidance.
o    Participate in the evaluation of team members’ level of performance, to provide performance management.
o    Participate in identifying training needs for team members.
o    Participate in staffing decisions and promotion of team members.
•    Assist Project Manager or Manager with project planning.
o    Participate in developing program priorities, resource requirements, project scope, and objectives.
o    Identify, analyze, and communicate risks and issues to project management.
•    Provide high-level customer support and service. Mitigate escalations of client incidents and issues. 
o    Resolve issues through analysis and troubleshooting, vendor consultation, and utilizing other technical teams.
•    Identify highly complex, non-routine issues and recommends corrective action. Develop solutions for new system requirements. Provide expertise on design and planning, and ensure that appropriate technical designs are implemented. 
o    Provide design review and/or code review, for efficiency and adherence to standards.
•    Assess issues and provide enhancements to existing systems. Proactively analyze systems to identify potential issues and identify solutions
•    Maintain a high level of technical expertise and business knowledge. 

•    Supply technical expertise and business systems guidance to manager and team.
o    Assist in defining problems and objectives, describing the requirements, determining costs and benefits. Define technical issues as they relate to the business and the operational feasibility of the system.
o    Ensure that requirements are benchmarked against vendor offerings to facilitate solutions to business or operational problems.
•    Performs other related duties as required.



  • Prior Epic training preferred
  • Advanced level technical experience in healthcare hospital field is preferred
  • Leading, Training and mentoring others in a class environment
  • Epic Certification is Required
  • TED Certification
