MEDICAL MANAGEMENT UTILIZATION ANALYST

YONKERS, NY, US


The Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) Utilization Management Analyst (UMA) serves as an assessor and resource navigator for children and their families in the Bronx, overseeing and coordinating access to all needed health and social services. The UMA is responsible for identifying member needs at least annually through the collection of information from multiple sources, including members, caregivers, physicians, clinical information systems, and electronic health records, and tracking information in the InCK documentation platform.  The UMA uses this information to guide decisions regarding eligibility for services, including care coordination programs, and benefits and/or referral to other internal or external/ community-based resources.  The UMA plays a key role on the care planning team and leads the effort in helping the identified health care providers and social service teams communicate and collaborate with the children and families being served.

  

Requirements:

AAS, Bachelors Degree in business adminitration, healthcare or related field preferred.

3 yrs as an analyst in a managed care setting.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent Organizational skills
