MANAGER APPLE SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT

YONKERS, NY, US


As an IT Manager at Montefiore, your management and IT expertise will directly impact patient care, health outcomes, and improving people’s lives.

Montefiore Health System employs over 40,000 including our IT division with 800+ associates, all focused on deploying technology, identifying process improvements, and using best IT practices to improve patient care. Montefiore is routinely included on lists of most technically advanced hospital systems in the US.

We are seeking a strong manager for our Apple Technology team. This team provides hardware and software support for iOS and Mac users across our enterprise, including some of our most senior executives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of Information Technology professionals.
  • Schedule and participate as needed in on-call rotation to ensure 24x7 coverage.
  • Stay abreast of trends and new facets of Apple desktop and mobile technologies.
  • Evaluate the team and its members’ level of performance including reviewing/interpreting metrics and managing accordingly.
  • Mentor and identify training needs for team members, ensuring professional development and superior technical expertise.
  • Responsible for resource allocation, managing assignments, and overseeing the work performed by the team.
  • Responsible for staffing decisions and promotion of team members.

 

Requirements include:

  • Experience working with a diverse technology platform in a heavily regulated, compliance-driven enterprise environment such as health care, banking, or pharmaceutical.
  • Experience managing a team of IT professionals including performance management.
  • Experience with metrics and reporting.
  • Experience creating and managing new processes.
  • Expertise with Apple desktop and mobile technologies, including security.
  • Familiarity with ITIL.
  • Experience working directly with senior/executive leadership.
  • Strong IT knowledge and analytical skills used to solve a diverse range of complex problems.
  • Excellent communications, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Capable of maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
