The Product Manager for Hospital Billing (EPIC HB and Eagle) is responsible for the design and delivery of Hospital Billing product solutions and ensuring that the products meet the needs of the client. The Product Manager develops project work plans, work breakdown structures & schedules and ensures projects and support is consistent with the overall customer objectives and strategic plans. This position will work in supporting both the Eagle and EPIC applications.


The Product Manager provides expert knowledge of the business or clinical function being supported and provides perspective on common challenges and strategies for success. The  Product Manager motivates, guides, and leads a support/ implementation team.


  • The  Product Manager develops and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders and communicates regularly with clients.

  • Plan, direct and establish team goals.
  • Manage the overall performance of the teams in a way that maximizes efficiencies and the provision of services.
  • Enable and empower the teams to achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives.
  • Identify challenges, create options and guide the teams along alternative courses of action.
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to professional development of self and team members.
  • Support and direct operational policy and procedures, and enforce workflow compliance within the teams.
  • Effectively and expediently communicate issues to superiors along with recommendations for effectively addressing them. Track and report team productivity on a monthly basis.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively provide solutions.
  • Prioritize, organize and assess workload in order to effectively and consistently meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Participate in management and leadership meetings for all matters relating to the teams.
  • Ensure that all teams in the reporting structure develop and maintain documentation as they relate to workflow, system design and operation as well as departmental operating procedures including uptime and downtime.
  • Schedule and participate in routine meetings with key departmental personnel and document and transmit feedback to Montefiore IT leadership.
  • Vigilantly monitor and maintain the QA/QC efforts of the teams while developing strategies for improvement.
  • Track and report team productivity on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that support contracts are maintained for all supported systems and ensure that all renewals are done on a timely basis.
  • Ensure that the budget is maintained.
  • Provide direction to the development, implementation, and administration of systems.



  • At least 5 years of experience in managing projects in a healthcare setting, preferably within a Healthcare IT environment.
  • Product Implementation experience
  • Must attend Epic training and/or demonstrate a working knowledge of the Resolute HB EPIC Billing module.
  • Possess a working knowledge of NY State billing regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, management, and implementation in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organization.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to match team member skills to team responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management and business tools such as MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel 
  • Ability to recognize, secure and evaluate relevant facts to reach sound conclusions and provide resolutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience.
  • Epic Home Health Billing Certification preferred
