The Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting Director will lead the development and deployment of the Community Engagement strategy for 16 NYS counties as part of an 86M dollar multi-institutional Federal Grant to combat the opioid epidemic in NYS (The Healing Communities Study (HCS)).  Strategic oversight will involve leading the evaluation of the community engagement strategy across the 16 counties, ensuring all aspects of community engagement data collection and reporting occur on time and on budget, mentoring local county community engagement facilitators, strategically deploying implementation coaching teams, and management of community engagement research grant budget. 

Responsibilities include supporting local community coalitions and implementation teams ranging from locally deployed study staff to C-suite level executives from multiple diverse stakeholder groups, Local Government Health and Social Service commissioners, Criminal Justice leadership and peers and families with OUD, to ensure strategy adaption and culture change.  The Stakeholder Engagement Director will facilitate co-design processes to develop stakeholder investment to integrate Evidence Based Interventions (EBIs) and stigma reduction best practices across the continuum of care within each county.    The role will also  design, operationalize and manage a strategic coaching strategy including targeted  deployment of coaching teams and strategic  implementation of shared learning opportunities, communities of practice and learning collaboratives  with the  goal of adding efficiency to county level EBP implementation coaching.

The Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting Director  will strategize and manage multiple workstreams related to operationalizing the Healing Communities Study Community Advisory Board (CAB) and CAB subcommittees including new CAB member onboarding,   meeting preparation,  identifying opportunities to leverage  CAB member expertise for downstream implementation challenge resolution,  feedback elicitation and continuous improvement and cascading of CAB subcommittee output to downstream county level coalitions.  The role will have senior leadership responsibilities to stakeholder partners at government agencies including OASAS and NYS DOH, through the CAB and  will  to ensure sustainability of new care delivery models, by aligning EBI implementation strategies with each agencies planned future funding strategy.

The Community Engagement Director will also identify strategic opportunities to integrate Change Management into EBI implementation across the continuum of care and facilitate the development of Change Management capacity within provider organizations.  



Master's degree required.

4-7 years management experience related to healthcare delivery, community-engagement, project management and grant experience. 

Valid New York State Driver’s license and car required
Project Management training (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CAP M) preferred
PROSCI Change Management Certification or equivalent preferred 

Experience supervising and building a team - including the ability to draw out diverse perspectives, consider problem resolution from multiple angles, and build upon the experiences of all team members to create solutions that are broadly supported. 
Project management and process improvement methodologies, techniques
Change Management Experience Preferred
Project management and resource management tools
Facilitation and coaching experience 
Grant writing or grants administrative experience preferred
Healthcare services sector business operations and research grant management
Understanding of the continuum of care for opioid use disorder treatment.
