SENIOR APPLICATION ANALYST EPIC CARE MGMT

YONKERS, NY, US


Montefiore’s IT organization invests in the communities we serve through comprehensive programs connecting our patients with care and resources leading to improved health outcomes. Population Health has been part of the fabric at Montefiore since the 1990’s- long before the need to move health care from the inpatient setting into the community was recognized as critical by our peer hospital systems.  Our Epic Care Management team is a key part of our Population Health initiatives. We are seeking a Senior Application Analyst to support the technology that enables community networks, growth, partnerships, and best health outcomes for the patients in our care.

 

The person in this role will work on Epic and other third-party systems for all Epic Inpatient, Outpatient, and CMO care management solutions across the health system.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Analyze complex business problems and specify the functionality of solutions with minimal oversight. Work independently to provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements.
  • Determine and communicate issues/risks.
  • Provide Project Management support .
  • Work directly with clients to assess business needs, provide relevant solutions, and properly manage expectations.
  • Conduct data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare detailed requirements specifications, process flow and other required documents.
  • Create training materials and/or participate in training.
  • Provide leadership to team members.

 

Required experience includes:

 

  • 4+ years in a similar role in healthcare IT.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • Experience working with Operations leaders and IT executives.
  • Knowledge of Healthcare Care Management.
  • Epic certification in ClinDoc or Orders and knowledge of inpatient and outpatient workflows.
  • Proficiency in documentation, particularly test plans and use cases.
  • Proficiency in communicating with business users, vendors, and technical staff.
  • Strong technology skills and understanding, with the ability to work effectively with managers, users, and technical staff, and be pro-active in problem resolution.
  • OBTAINING AND MAINTAINING EPIC CERTIFICATION IS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.

 

Desired:

 

  • Healthy Planet or CCM certification

 

Montefiore requires employees to reside in NY, NJ, CT, OR PA and within commuting distance to our offices in Yonkers NY, and to be immunized, including for flu and COVID.
