CREATIVE ARTS THERAPIST LICENSE

Creative Arts Therapist will provide clinical support as part of the inter-disciplinary team to efficiently deliver patient care, advocate for patient/family rights, identify and provide opportunities for patient and family expression through creative modalities including but not limited to art therapy, music therapy, and communicate effectively with healthcare team.

 

Board Certified LCAT preferred, limited permit eligible working toward completing supervision hours, Bi-lingual, English, and Spanish preferred, experience in population to be served, Skill set to include ability to assess human development levels, provide creative arts therapeutic interventions, work collaboratively within inter-disciplinary team.  

 

Required to operate in this position

1. Assess needs of patient and families
2. Develop plan of care with IDT
3. Provide creative arts clinical interventions for patients and families 4. Provide family support
5. Facilitate outlets for expression and coping i.e., music making, art making, 
6. Provide non-pharmacological pain management support i.e. guided imagery, environmental music, etc. 
7. Precept students, supervise students (once licensed) 
8. Maintain infection prevention protocols
9. Operate computers, fax, copier, scanner, printer, digital media devices 10.Collaborate with other Patient and Family Programs in CHAM for best patient experience.
