The Diet Supply Worker oversees the food delivery program, managing inventory, storage, and distribution to ensure freshness and availability. This role coordinates delivery services, including partnerships with DoorDash Support, to guarantee timely and safe food distribution. Additionally, the Diet Supply Worker collaborates with vendors like Driscoll Foods and the Food Bank to maintain a steady supply for the pantry.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Operational Oversight: Manage daily food deliveries and pantry inventory, ensuring proper storage and rotation to maintain food freshness.
•    Client Interaction: Greet and screen clients to assess eligibility for food assistance programs and connect them with appropriate services.
•    Food Ordering & Delivery: Work with food suppliers and distribution partners to order and receive food, coordinating with Driscoll Foods and Food Bank personnel to maintain inventory.
•    Advocacy & Collaboration: Partner with community organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, Montefiore Medical Dept., and CBAs to connect clients with additional support services.
•    Program Coordination: Oversee food delivery programs, including working with services like DoorDash Support to ensure timely and safe food distribution.
Requirements:
•    High School Diploma
•    Food Protection Certification
•    TEFAP Civil Rights Training 
•    1 year of experience  
•    Knowledge of United Way, Food Bank, and Emergency Food Support

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:30a-5:00p
Location: 3058 Bainbridge Avenue Bronx, NY

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is three (3) months for full-time employees, and four (4) months for part-time employees who works more than 3/5 of the normal workweek.
