MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNICIAN

Job Title: FULL- TIME MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNICIAN

Overview: 

Performs mammography examinations, diagnostic studies, and needle localizations. Evaluates radiographs for diagnostic quality and obtains additional images as needed.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Patient & Room Preparation: This task includes entering/verfiying patient data into PACS and other appropriate computer systems as necessary. 
  • Obtain Mammographic analog/digital images as well as other images. 
  • Conduct labeling of all mammographic/radiographic images
  • Maintain all necessary records etc. logging patient data in log book and perform tasks relasted to MQSA 
  • Assist physician during biopsy procedures as needed 

 

 

Education/Training Requirements: 

  • Associates Degree (Preferred) / High School Diploma/ GED ( Required) 
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and meets the requirements for certification by the ARRT
  • Licensed by the State of New York
