OPERATIONS MANAGER

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of the Emergency Department Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department. The Operations Manager will have oversight of the Service Associates and Business Associates. The position is accountable for the daily management of the Emergency Room Operations, Monitoring of ED Track Board Maintaining Equipment, Supplies, and ensuring all are operable. Ensures the environment of the ED is well maintained. Reports all issues up to the Director of the ED. Participates in implementing and evaluating assigned areas of responsibility. Continuous monitoring of patient bed assignments. Maintains departments policies and procedures. Ensure adequate staffing at all times 24/7 x 365 days per year. Continuously promotes Montefiore Excellence in patient safety and human experience.

 

The Operations Manager requires a dynamic individual with a strong background, excellent communication and organizational skills, and who is ambitious and a self starter.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's degree

Master's degree - preferred

 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Proficient EPIC experience is required

NYS & NYC Department of Health Regulations

The Joint Commission Standards

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Compliance and Readiness

Knowledge of Medical Equipment used in the ED

Round the clock commitment to ensure all operations are performing at expected standards

Excellent communications, management, inter-personal and leadership skills required

Customer service, customer focus, problem solving, process improvement, people skills, teams work, managing processing, emphasizing excellence
