Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, provided the employee has completed five (5) months in their current position with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension.
Associates are eligible to apply for a promotional transfer after completion of the probationary period, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; and Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is three (3) months for full time and part time employees.
The role of the Registered Nurse involves providing professional nursing care to assigned patients. This includes assessing patients' needs, developing and documenting nursing care plans, and preparing and administering medications and interventions as necessary. Additionally, the Registered Nurse is responsible for supervising nursing attendants and ancillary staff in patient care activities.
Qualifications
- New York State RN License
- BSN Degree preferred
- Basic Life Support Training
- Infection Control Training
- Effective English communication skills
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
