RESEARCH TECHNOL-EPID

Under the general direction of the Director of EM research, the Research Assistant-Epidemiology is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of all research projects in the Department of Emergency Medicine.  Activities include determining which patients are potential participants in studies, explaining the studies, obtaining informed consent, collecting data, interacting with staff, ensuring adherence to protocols, managing data collection, entering data into a database computer program.      

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

1.            High School diploma or equivalent. 

2.            Certified Medical Technician. 

3.            Knowledge of basic computer skills. 

4.            Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. 

5.            Bilingual, Spanish/English
