SOCIAL WORKER MSW

TheDepartment of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Moses Division of Montefiore is seeking a NY Licensed MSW or limited permit to join our team.  Associate will work with an interdisciplinary team and provide evaluations, assist with inpatient admissions, assist with care coordination and family support for patients being evaluated in the emergency room in the context of a psychiatric crisis. Associate must maintain documentation practices within Department of Health and hospital guidelines.

 

The shift for this position is Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm.  This position does require going to other locations for coverage based on the departmental needs.

 

Job Requirement: 

 

  • NY Licensed LMSW/LCSW, or a limited permit which shall be valid for a period of not more than six months at Montefiore Medical Center
  • Knowledge of the DSMV is required.
  • Experience or training in working in acute treatment settings (emergency room, CPEP, inpatient) is strongly preferred.
  • The ideal candidate would have Spanish speaking proficiency. (preferred, but not required)
  • Monday-Friday work schedule
