Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees.
The Montefiore RN maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.
The Registered Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.
This is a Night shift position working alternate weekends
New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.
BSN Degree preferred
Basic Life Support Training Infection Control Training Certification in specialty preferred
Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
ASSOCIATE REFERRAL PROGRAM
For NYSNA members who successfully refer a candidate that is hired for a NYSNA position will receive $3, 500.00.
For others, $2,500.00 for referring a successfully hired: Staff RN I/II and Registered Nurse – WF
Qualified candidates must have or be eligible for NYS RN License
Full time and Part Time ONLY (day, evening, and night shifts only – does not apply to per diem positions; amount for the part time positions will be prorated).
The positions are available at Moses, Einstein, and Wakefield campus including Peri-Op services Payment Terms
Payment to be paid out following a successful completion of probationary period.
This Associate Referral Program is open to Montefiore Medical Center associates as outlined in HR Policy ll-4b.
