SUPERVISOR NUCLEAR MEDICINE

Overview:
This position is responsible for all the daily operations of services of the Nuclear Medicine Division (East campus)
to include coordination of assigned staff (clerical, clinical and technologists) and allocation of resources (personnel and equipment) with the goal of effectively managing patient throughput. Ensures staff training and proficiency in imaging.
Manages, coordinates, organizes and prioritizes assignments of office staff to ensure effective and efficient operations of two outpatient offices specializing in Nuclear Medicine and PET scanning. Functions as departmental liaison with facility partners (management company and billing service) in order to provide high quality patient care, maximize patient revenue, and assist with marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the technical director perform necessary activities to ensure maximum service
- Responsible for procurement of equipment and supplies
- Supervise routine clerical duties including file systems, patient scheduling, patient registration and billing, answering phone, providing patient results to physicians, registering patients, duplicating records, and distributing mail
- Assign work to all staff and evaluate his/her performance on a daily basis
- Oversees all quality control and quality assurance of all equipment in the department including PET/CT.
- Maintain radiation safety requirements for nuclear medicine and PET/CT
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certification in ARRT (N) or NMTCB
- Current NYS DOH Radiologic Technology License, Nuclear Medicine
- CT Certification ( ARRT or NMTCB) preferred
