The Project Manager I is responsible for the evaluation and analysis of data to assess performance gaps across registration, front desk operations, and patient-facing services. The role supports continuous improvement in documentation, billing, EMR usage, and customer service. The Project Manager works cross-functionally with training teams, IT, and leadership to resolve systemic issues, implement workflow improvements, and strengthen operational compliance and effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate gaps in front desk, application, and customer service activity that contribute to failures in the registration process
  • Partner with the training team to enhance end-user workflow performance
  • Analyze documentation and billing trends; identify lost charge opportunities and revenue impact
  • Manage EMR workflow set-up and configurations; collaborate with IT ambulatory team on build changes
  • Establish and maintain resident and teaching schedules across MMG clinical areas
  • Lead project implementation cycles, including needs assessment, rollout, monitoring, and course correction
  • Reconcile services performed vs. billed; present findings and action plans to executive leadership
  • Prepare presentations and dashboards for monthly executive reviews and operational updates
  • Support onboarding, access, and system training for new hires and providers as needed
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and site leadership to ensure personnel processes align with regulatory, labor, and hospital standards
  • Serve as a liaison across MMG departments for data sharing, communication, and performance monitoring

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 5 years in healthcare operations or revenue cycle, preferably within a large health system or academic medical center
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
  • Effective verbal and written communication; ability to present to senior executives
  • Familiarity with project management and training delivery methodologies

 

General office environment. This is a non-clinical, on-site role based at MMG headquarters in Yonkers. No hybrid or remote work permitted.

 

Shift Monday to Friday 0800A – 0430P

 

Associates are eligible to apply for a lateral transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Part-time Associates who have completed their probationary period can move to full-time vacancies within their department provided such movement will not unreasonably reduce the operational efficiency of that department. Probationary period is six (6) months for full-time employees.
