SR. MEDICAL AUDIT ANALYST

YONKERS, NY, US


The Senior Medical Audit Analyst will assist the coding manager in overseeing the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of the coding function. 

 

Job Responsibilities

Implement and perform ongoing medical record reviews for records coded

Conduct performance improvement activities regarding coding accuracy, auditing, data quality, and integrity

Analyze statistical data regarding coding trends, coding errors/edits, and coding denials

Provide corrective in-service training sessions to address all coding issues at the root cause

Respond to medical necessity and other coding edits and denials from internal and external review agencies 

Maintain productivity and quality statistics for coding

Monitor and oversee the Pre-AR coding edit workqueues, the coding claim edit workqueues, and assist with coding denials as needed.

Educate and assign work to appropriate staff.

 

Qualifications

High school diploma/ GED Required

Bachelors degree Preferred

Certified Professional Coder Required

Extensive experience in coding strongly Preferred
