ACADEMIC INFECTIOUS DISEASES PHYSICIAN

The Division of Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center and The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, is seeking an Infectious Diseases physician with an interest in academic clinical infectious diseases to the infectious diseases faculty. The physician would be primarily based at Montefiore’s Jack D. Weiler hospital with responsibilities on the inpatient infectious diseases consult services, in the ambulatory care of patients with infectious diseases, and in travel medicine. Candidates with an interest in medical education, clinical research, antibiotic stewardship, infection control, or public health are encouraged to apply.
The Montefiore/Einstein Division of Infectious Diseases is nationally recognized for its innovative and pioneering leadership in Antibiotic Stewardship, clinical, translational, and bench research, and HIV and LGBTQ+ care. The Einstein/Montefiore Fellowship Training Program in Infectious Diseases is one of the original and largest infectious diseases fellowship programs in the United States. The division has a longstanding tradition of clinical, educational, and research excellence and many division faculty members serving in leadership roles in the field. There are numerous opportunities to engage in teaching and research are available.
Candidates should be BC/BE in Infectious Diseases, have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills, and desire an academic career in the field of infectious diseases. Faculty appointment will be at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine at the Assistant or Associate Professor level based on the candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
