ACUTE PSYCHIATRY MEDICAL DIRECTOR

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader for the role of Medical Director of Montefiore Einstein Psychiatry Associates and the innovative ACUTE Psychiatry program.   Montefiore Einstein Psychiatry Associates (known as MEPA) is the Faculty Practice for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  The ACUTE (Ambulatory Consultation, Urgent Treatment and Evaluation) Psychiatry program provides behavioral health virtual urgent care 5 days per week, ambulatory specialty consultations for a variety of patients, including geriatric patients, patients seeking gender affirming surgeries and patients seeking bariatric surgery.  Both programs are in a time of rapid growth, with development of subspecialty clinical programs and expanded referral sources.   The successful candidate for the position will play an integral role in the development of the programs. Additional duties will include supervision of clinical staff, creating and strengthening referral sources, and nurturing and creation of subspecialty programs.

Eligible applicants will be enterprising individuals with commitment to clinical excellence, demonstrated leadership and administrative skills, and Board Certification in Psychiatry.  Compensation range: $270,000 - $300,000
