ADMINISTRATIVE DIETITIAN II

BRONX, NY, US


Accountable for all aspects of clinical nutrition care for patients followed by the Lung Transplant Team.  Provides nutrition assessment, care planning follow-up and education for individual patients/families in all phases of the transplant process, inpatient and outpatient.  Develops and implements, under appropriate supervision, nutrition programs for individual and group education in conformance with transplant standards and guidelines.  Serves as a resource of nutrition expertise in the interdisciplinary care process providing recommendations and education to physicians and other providers in the MMC network and community.  Participates in research activities in the MMC network, medical school and with other accredited facilities.  Participates in planning and execution of marketing/advocacy services to the community. Assists in the creation of, and monitors performance improvement to ensure compliance with the goals of MMC and standards of regulatory agencies.

 

Requirements:

Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration/ Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a baccalaureate degree in nutrition or related field. Masters preferred.

Certification with the New York State Department of Education or obtained within 6 months of employment.

Minimum of 2-4 years of clinical experience, preferably in acute care, including experience with lung patients. 

Research and education experience is highly preferred. 

Strong people and communication skills.

Public speaking skills.
