The Administrative Nurse Manager (ANM) in the department of Urology is responsible for managing overall clinical operations and clinical staff working across several sites.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure efficient use of resources, superior patient, physician, and staff satisfaction and manage effectively using data.
  • Creates clinical and administrative policies and procedures and develop standardized processes to deliver efficient operations, excellence in patient care, and a high level of patient satisfaction. 
  • In collaboration with Director and Chair, evaluate new technologies, implement new clinical programs/offsite locations, and identify ways to grow the clinical business.  
  • Oversee major expansion of clinical operations to include advanced practice providers and additional surgeons.


Educations and Skills required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing coupled with seven (7) years’ experience required; Master’ degree in Nursing or Management preferred
  • NYS Licensed Registered Nurse
  • High level fiscal, organizational development, and administrative management skills specific to ambulatory, hospital, health care setting and/or a health care regulatory agency.
  • Ability to develop and lead the execution of nursing strategy and plan
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in working with and building high performing teams
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Strong performance management and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Montefiore clinical applications (C-EMR, etc), Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications.
  • Skilled in data analysis and development of comprehensive reports
  • Working knowledge of care and use of urology equipment used in the office setting, including cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, urodynamics, uroflow
