ADMINISTRATIVE NURSING SUPERVISOR

The Administrative Nurse Supervisor – Ambulatory maintains standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, nursing scope of practice and social policy statement.  This role demonstrates the vision, mission, values and benchmarks for the Montefiore Medical Center and the Department of Medicine. 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all clinical functions (patient care delivery, material, and human resources) within the practice sites. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participates in performance improvement projects
  • Maintains practice standards and demonstrates leadership skills and competencies. 
  • Creates a professional environment where a competent workforce provides quality and collaborative care. 
  • Serve as liaison to inpatient units to promote seamless care delivery as patients transition from inpatient to outpatient care.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills by setting expectation, developing, and communicating plans to improve access and quality as appropriate for patient population

 

Please note: This position is based at 3411 Wayne Ave, Bronx but will also cover various Practice Sites as needed.

 

Education/Skills required:

  • Bachelor's Degree coupled with five (5) years’ experience required
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License and Registration
  • Effective management/leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to motivate, develop and coach individuals and groups.
  • Analytical skills necessary for problem-solving and clinical decision-making

 

Preferred skills:

  • Ambulatory experience preferred
