ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR

BRONX, NY, US


The Administrative Supervisor in Psychiatry is responsible for supervision and management of clerical staff, including hiring, firing, disciplinary actions and staffing analysis.  The position will also maintain and supervise the maintenance of the physical plant.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, evaluate and supervise support staff including scheduling and keeping appointments on schedule. Manage medical records, distribute charts to MD’s and clinicians
  • Maintain Kronos Payroll system and process personnel and payroll forms for Adult Outpatient Psychiatry department. Maintain employee attendance logs. Meet Payroll deadlines
  • Organize and maintain files and records for mental health, chemical dependency to ensure timely appointments and meetings
  • Maintain physical plant – work with real estate site facilitator and housekeeping vendors. Handle any maintenance issues for entire plant and refer work orders to real estate site facilitator. Receive and work with Montefiore vendors
  • Manage Medical record requests with outside agencies and vendors
  • Purchase supplies for clinic needs
  • Supervise staff of 7
     

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience is preferred
  • Experience with managing staff in an union environment is preferred
  • Experience working in a hospital and/or other healthcare setting is preferred
