ASSISTANT DIRECTOR COMMUNICATIONS

BRONX, NY, US


This position is accountable for establishing short and long term outreach strategies  focused on building relationships with internal and external referring providers and Dialysis Centers. This position is also responsible for the development and  implementation  of communications programs that effectively describe and promote activities and initiatives of the Montefiore transplant programs. This position will have primary oversight of initiatives that increase the profile and exposure of the the transplant program in the region through grand round lectures, dinner events, CME events, etc., and measure and report on the success of campaigns & optimize approach based on real-time analytics and data. 
 
 This position requires a knowledge of the transplant evaluation process and the unique features of the transplant center at Montefiore.   This knowledge will be part of the individual’s orientation and education if he/she does not have a transplant background. 

 

Requirements:

 

Master's Degree preferred

Bachelor's Degree required (Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or other relevant field)

At least three (3) years of work experience required

Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Strong Knowledge of communication practices and techniques

Experience working in healthcare communications preferred. The key is someone who is self-motivated, has great interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and experience creating targeted content.
