ASSOC ADMINISTRATIVE NURSING MANAGER

The Associate Administrative Nurse Manager is responsible for maintaining the high standards of nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing's Social Policy Statement.

The AANM actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore, participating in performance improvement and research activities, maintaining professional practice standards, and demonstrating leadership skills. Additionally, the AANM is expected to demonstrate core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.

As part of the role, the AANM is responsible for the day-to-day operations of specialized nursing units, collaborating with the Administrative Nurse Manager to direct and coordinate patient and unit activities in an environment that supports excellence. This includes ensuring the continued delivery of quality patient care, in compliance with Montefiore policies and standards.

The AANM also assists the interdisciplinary team in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of a select group of patients, participates in educational activities related to the clinical specialty, and occasionally participates in direct patient care.

Qualifications:

  • New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration.
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field required.
  • Master of Science degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Clinical experience in related area required
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification in Specialty Area preferred
  • Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
  • Effective English communication skills written, oral and interpersonal.
