ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF TRANSFUSION MEDICINE

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a physician with M.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. degrees to join our team as Associate Director of Transfusion Medicine at affiliate hospitals.  Join our collegial team of 5 Board Certified providers and full support staff based out of our Moses campus (Montefiore Medical Center).  Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in CP or AP/CP and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.  Oversight of clinical laboratory operations, active participation in hospital committees, Resident and medical school teaching are responsibilities of the position.  Additional responsibilities will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic interest, including participation in translational or clinical research.

 

Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain New York State Medical License and Certificate of Qualification in Transfusion Services.  Prospective graduates of 2024 are encouraged to apply. Call will be approximately 1:5, however, is subject to change based on the needs of the department and needs of services in the community.  Academic appointment to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be commensurate with credentials and experience.

 

Montefiore Medical Center is a university-affiliated health care system serving the Bronx, Rockland, Orange and Westchester County. Programs include active adult and pediatric Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant as well as solid organ transplant (Heart, Lung, Liver, Kidney and Pancreas).  Transfusion Medicine provides medical oversight of all apheresis and stem cell/cell therapy collections.

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

 

In addition to a competitive salary of $270,000-370,000, we offer the opportunity to supplemental income with additional call responsibilities.  LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) and 457 are also offered.
