Assistant Director Pharmacy 340B Program

Currently, we are seeking an Assistant Director of Pharmacy 340B Program to join our astonishing team.


In this high-level role, you will be responsible for Oversees the daily administrative and clinical activities of a designated department to ensure efficient business operations and the delivery of quality health care services. Develops and implements policies and procedures, prepares and monitors the budget, establishes and communicates the short and long-term goals and objectives of the department and oversees and provides guidance for direct reports.


  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the 340B drug pricing program
  • Coordinate and perform internal and supervises external compliance assessments and audits of the 340B drug pricing program
  • Ensure compliance with HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) regulations, and other federal and state rules and regulations related to the 340B drug pricing program
  • Collaborate with the finance and billing departments to assure accurate billing and reporting as related to the 340B drug pricing program
  • Monitor system-wide outpatient services to identify qualified areas where the 340B drug pricing program may be expanded
  • Monitor regulatory and legislative activity as it relates to the 340B drug pricing program
  • Implements and oversees system-wide 340B data management and compliance technology including Sentry 340B system


  • Prepare reports and present data related to the 340B drug pricing program to senior system leadership as required
  • Hire and train a team of 340B staff to oversee and expand the 340B Program
  • Work with pharmacy staff to insure appropriate purchase of covered outpatient drugs
  • Provide education to staff, assesses utilization and ensures compliance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate information on the OPA website and database, including adding new information and updating and revising records  


Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ambulatory and/or hospital based pharmacy with a strong focus on outpatient or retail operations, finance.  Excellent communications and negotiation skills.   Must have a full understanding of the regulations with the HRSA 340b program.  Should be able to navigate databases and work with spreadsheets and produce Operational and Financial reports upon request. Ability to work with or learn 340B split-billing software programs (i.e. Sentry Software programs). Familiarity with Billing practices within the health care environment and systems used to manage.  Understand charge master maintenance for hospital billing. Understanding of pharmaceutical wholesaler procurement systems. (Cardinal Order Express) Ability to work within a clinical information system (EPIC).
