CLINICAL DIRECTOR OF NURSING

The Montefiore Clinical Director of Nursing maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The Clinical Director of Nursing actualizes the vision, mission, values, and balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
This position is accountable to the AVP of Nursing for the overall management of activities in a campus to ensure that quality, compassionate, culturally competent, effective and efficient patient care is delivered in compliance with the standards and regulations of the Montefiore Medical Center and Regulatory Agencies.
Accountable with the Chief Nurse Executive, Nursing Executive Leadership Staff and Members of Nursing Executive Council in a shared governance model to plan, develop, implement and evaluate the scope of practice for nursing service staff, nursing professional practice standards and patient care outcomes. This position will cover our Medicine area at Einstein.
Master’s Degree
New York State Registered Nurse
Nursing Administration Certification
• Clinical Experience: At least 7 years, including experience in area of leadership assignment
• Managerial Experience: At least 5 years
• Excellent Leadership Skills
• Ability to think logically and sequentially, understands redesign concepts and re-demonstrates ability to identify opportunities for improvement
• Skilled in the areas of finance, operations, strategic planning, marketing, human resources and computer technology
• Effectively influences others, develops others, fosters teamwork and possesses initiative and strong customer service skills
• Ability to plan and organize time and resources efficiently and focuses on the integrated delivery system as it relates to capacity management and the admission & discharge process.
• Proficient use in Microsoft Office applications
