This position is the clinical subject matter expert for analysis & report design and development. Supporting a team of data analysts, project managers, data managers, the candidate will ensure that requirements are developed with accurate code sets, clinical parameters, etc., as well as providing report/analysis design advice to users and report developers. Candidate will oversee implementation of Natural Language Processing in RHIO database, as well as identifying other tools for mining RHIO data for user-requested data elements. The Clinical Informaticist will be responsible for understanding the workflow and needs of Bronx RHIO participants (including large health systems, community health centers, physician practices, ACOs, and community organizations) and working with/instructing analysts on building actionable reports and tools for participants.


Education/Skills required:Master's Degree minimum.  7 years experience.  Clinical degree required. Training required on clinical codesets and vocabularies (e.g. ICD-10, CPT, LOINC, RxNorm, SNOMED-CT, etc), Python coding a plus.

MD or DO or RN or NP or PA.


linical informatics education or experience
Programming in Python or similar language a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
History of strong teamwork orientation.
Clinical code sets and vocabularies
Quality Measurement standards
Proficiency in working with health care data
Experience working in hospital setting
Experience in health care delivery, quality improvement programs and/or health systems related research
EMR reporting/analytics experience
