Child Abuse Pediatrician

The Division of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is seeking a full-time Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our Child Abuse Pediatrics Program. Our highly experienced team protects children and promotes healthy families through excellence in evaluation, treatment and prevention of child physical and sexual abuse and other forms of child trauma at the hospital based JE and ZB Butler Center for Children and Families and the Bronx Child Advocacy Center. The Bronx CAC is a National Children’s Alliance accredited co-located Child Advocacy Center located about 3 miles from the children’s hospital and 1 ½ miles from the Bronx courthouse complex.
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical evaluations and consultations for children and adolescents, teaching of residents and medical students and participation in quality/performance improvement initiatives. We are looking for candidates who are board certified/board eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills, and have experience in medical education. The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. About the Division of Academic General Pediatrics
The Division of Academic General Pediatrics consists of attending physicians, nurse practitioners, PhD social scientists, psychologists and a psychiatrist. Our clinical practice sites are NCQA patient centered medical homes with integrated mental health services. Our practices are the primary teaching sites for residents in our pediatric residency program and include a federally qualified health center. Division faculty are actively engaged in medical education, quality improvement and research.
