DATA MANAGER PROJECT COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Administrator of The Heart Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Assistant programs. This position, in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers, will be responsible for registration of all patients in clinical databases. Demonstrates advanced and diverse clinical knowledge and skills in the capacity of data entry, collaborator and patient advocate to provide indirect patient care in a semi-autonomous, self­ directed role in accordance with professional practice standards.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Plan, direct, implement and evaluate the complex management of clinical data that must be entered into the INTERMACS registry as well as maintenance of our internal clinical databases.

Maintain LVAD equipment  tracking  database  that  will  ensure  patient  safety  and  that  will  increase adherence to TJC standards .

Utilizing specific skills and competencies, assess the clinical data to be entered into database for accuracy and completion.

Provide primary coordination of all clinical databases inclusive of equipment tracking.

Serve as resource  for  and  liaison  to  individuals  and  other  departments  regarding  mechanical circulatory support implantation.

Collaborate with Departments of Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance (i.e. provide performance measure quarterly data to Joint commission)

 

Bachelor's Degree required

At least 2 years experience in healthcare is preferred

Computer literate

Effective English communication skills, both written and oral  

Ability to analyze data

Statistic experience preferred
