Montefiore Medical Center is a large, urban, academic, tertiary care center with Comprehensive Stroke Center accreditation and is an ACR- designated Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence. State-of-the-art MR, CT, Dual energy and PET-CT and Ultrasound equipment, including a new 3D lab, is available for clinical imaging and cutting-edge research. The Gruss MR Research Center houses a 3T and 9.4T MR, Micro PET/SPECT and HIFU. 

 

The Position

The Department of Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine is accepting applications for an ABR and CAQ certified Neuroradiologist to primarily work in our expanding outpatient environment as a member of our Neuroradiology Division.  The Neuroradiology Division provides clinical coverage of multiple inpatient, ED and outpatient facilities, with multidisciplinary interaction across the subspecialties of adult and pediatric neurology, neurosurgery, otorhinolaryngology, physical and rehabilitative medicine and psychiatry. Mentorship and collegiality are strengths of the division and department.  On-call responsibilities are shared across the Neuroradiology Division for evening and weekend (daytime) reading, without overnight on-site call, which is covered by the department’s ED division.

 

Salary and benefits are highly competitive, and will be commensurate with experience

 

Candidate Qualifications

  • You must be proficient in CT and MR imaging modalities, including advanced imaging techniques for head and neck, adult and pediatric CNS, spine and vascular disease. Ability to perform CT- guided procedures is preferred.
  • You should have A strong desire for a career in academic radiology, with time dedicated weekly for research and educational pursuits.
  • You will also participate in departmental faculty development and quality improvement activities.
