EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST CARDIAC REHAB
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Accountable for developing and supervising cardiac rehabilitation and education in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Provides direct patient care including assessing, improving, and maintaining patients' fitness and health.
Coordinates the exercise training programs and related teaching and research projects undertaken by the department.
Embraces the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care.
Understands work schedule may include variable schedules, rotations, and/or weekend work.
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master Degree in Exercise physiology or Exercise Science
2. BLS and ACLS certification
3. Required within one (1) year of date of hire: CCRP- Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR- American Association of Cardiovascular and pulmonary Rehabilitation)
4. Preferred: ACSM-RCEP- American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
5. Preferred: 1-2 years of experience
