Overview:

The Registered Dietitian will deliver nutritional services for patients seen by the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division. The associate will provide nutritional assessment and follow up for pediatric Hepatology patients, both inpatients and outpatients at high nutritional risk. She/he will develop a care plan for nutritional recommendations which may include instructions on appropriate diet therapies for patients/families. She/he will be responsible for nutritional assessment for liver transplant candidates and will actively participate as a core team member in interdisciplinary care team for our liver transplant patients. In addition, she/he may provide nutritional assessment for gastroenterology patients if needed within the division. She/he will serve as a resource of nutrition expertise in the interdisciplinary care process providing recommendations as well as education to physicians and NPs in the division. The successful candidate will provide coverage during the hours of 8:30a-5:00p, Monday through Friday.

 

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited college with completion of qualifying experience mandatory.

  • Maintenance of continuing education requirements mandated by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

  • Master’s Degree preferred. 

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
