Montefiore, DOING MORESM

DOING MORE means building on a history of firsts to create the future of healthcare. For over 100 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of medicine with innovations such as the intravenous cardiac pacemaker and one of the nation’s first pediatric kidney transplants. As we move forward, we seek professionals who want to join our team of leaders and trailblazers to advance the health of our communities in the Bronx, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley.

Montefiore Health System consists of eleven hospitals; a primary and specialty care network of more than 180 locations across Westchester County, the lower Hudson Valley and the Bronx; an extended care facility; the Montefiore School of Nursing, and our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

The Position

The Division of Geriatrics at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York is seeking a full-time faculty member. The Division of Geriatrics includes 10 physician faculty, a highly regarded fellowship program, and outstanding clinical programs in all care settings and a nationally recognized research program. The clinical responsibilities are in both the ambulatory and inpatient setting. The ambulatory role includes geriatrics consultations at the Center for the Aging Brain (CAB), a multidisciplinary dementia evaluation unit, and a designated NY State Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease (CEAD).  The inpatient role includes geriatric hospitalist and involvement in a geriatrics-orthopedics co-management service.  There is significant opportunity for academic growth and participation in research.

Candidate Qualifications

  • You should be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and be BE/BC in Geriatrics and qualify for appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor.
