INTERNAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Internal Medicine Program Director
Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine seek a physician with unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience to serve as Internal Medicine Program Director (Moses/Weiler campus). The ideal candidate is an academic physician with expertise in medical education and administration of a large and dynamic group of faculty and learners.  The next Program Director will lead initiatives vital to the evolution of medical education, specific to our patient population, and foster a mission driven group of faculty and residents. The Residency Program Director is responsible for program administration and operations, and for residents’ recruitment and selection; education in the context of patient care; supervision; assessment, promotion, and disciplinary actions; scholarly activity; and for the establishment of an effective learning climate at all teaching sites. Candidates report to the Department of Medicine Chair and must possess the qualities required to be a successful leader in a complex multidisciplinary environment, including working collaboratively across various divisions and effectively promoting the program within the institution and without.  Diversity and Inclusion are key to our success and the Program Director should support and value diversity which not only includes race and gender identity but also age, disability status, veteran status, sexual orientation, religion, and many other parts of one's identity.

Qualifications:
•    Medical Degree from an Accredited University
•    New York State Medical License (or eligible)
•    Board Certified in Internal Medicine
•    Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Graduate Medical Education
•    Effective professional management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines.
•    Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, mentoring and teaching skills
•    A strong work ethic and desire to participate in team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
•    Ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable, and professional manner in person, on the phone and in writing.
•    Ability to build and lead high-performing teams; must be able to provide clear and accurate direction and guidance.

In addition to a competitive base salary of $200,000-$250,000, we offer the opportunity to supplement income through productivity incentives. LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision and a 403(b) are also offered.
