IT ARCHITECT - MODERN WORKPLACE CLOUD ARCHITECTURE - O365 - 1236

MONTEFIORE is looking for an IT Architect to join our IT Messaging Team and lead the management, and maintenance of our organizations Modern Workplace Cloud Architecture.
The Modern Workplace Cloud Architect's responsibilities include building and maintaining the cloud systems at our organization, along with managing servers, storage, and our network.
Working closely with IT directors, product leads, vendors, implementation teams and staff, this position is responsible for providing strategic guidance, technical design, and oversight of foundational configuration of applications across the Montefiore Health System. The IT Architect acts as the liaison between solution stakeholders, questions assumptions and drives change to mitigate potential risks. with regard to evaluating new technology. The IT Architect provides outstanding client service and contributes to the organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care.
The IT Architect will provide senior level business and technical expertise to the team or department and acts as an internal consultant to other teams within the organization. May lead teams and function as a Project Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
In-depth knowledge expected:
- Exchange on-prem/Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 platform, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams platform
- Migration pathways for on-prem email, hosted email, and/or entire tenant migrations. Experience with BitTitan MigrationWiz or Quest ODME is a plus.
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Architect
- Resolving conflicts of multiple users in an environment including UPN, SMTP mail aliases
- Email hygiene and protection tools – anti-spam, phishing, spoofing, etc
Experience/working knowledge of:
- Defender for Office 365 protection tools/policies

- eDiscovery, Retention, Litigation holds
- Azure AD Connect
- Deployment and integration of 3rd party apps
- Enterprise applications and SSO configurations
- Experience with governance, patching, and troubleshooting of 365 Apps for Enterprise
- Azure App Proxy
• Analyze business and application requirements and present architectural solutions for various Montefiore environments, both in a lead and complementary role.
- Provide technology recommendations and improvements to Senior Leadership.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of architectural reference documents which ensure consistent deployable solution designs.
Manage relationships with the various internal technical and non-technical business groups to ensure solutions delivered are in alignment with business goals and requirements.
- Technical Expertise and Support
o Maintain a high level of technical expertise and business knowledge. Act as Montefiore IT’s Subject Matter Expert in area of specialization.
o Solve or assist with solving technical problems when they arise
o Monitor systems to ensure they meet both user needs and business goals
• Solution Architecture
o Take ownership for architecting comprehensive, functional technology solutions.
o Participate in architectural review of proposed projects and contribute from the perspective of application architecture, operational feasibility, and system usage.
• Mentoring & Guidance
o Provide technical leadership and support to technical teams; product owners and leadership
o Communicate system requirements to technical teams
• Project Management Support
o Utilize project management skills to determine required resources, build teams, flow out project tasks.
o Develop budget for technical solution
o Lead teams and provide direction, ensuring projects are on track and are not delayed by technical issues
Proven experience as a Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert
• Hands-on experience with solution design
• Understanding of strategic IT solutions
• Experience in managing projects and working as a Lead to independently manage complex work.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and business leaders
• Organizational and leadership skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
