LEAD PEDIATRICS ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY TECHNCN

Lead Pediatric Electrocardiography Technician responsibilities include, but not limited to, performing echocardiograms on populations between 0 to 21 years; fetal electrocardiograms on all age groups; and echocardiograms on adults with history of congenital heart disease.  Lead tech trains and educates students, ultrasound technicians, and Fellows.  Under the supervision of the Echo Lab Director and Associate Clinical Director Nursing of the Pediatric Heart Center will assign pediatric electrocardiography technicians to specific locations and duties.  Maintains flow of the electrocardiography laboratory. Develops complex diagnostic studies and innovative uses for echo cardiograms in conjunction with the Echo Lab Director and Director of Non Invasive Imaging of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and the Pediatric Heart Center.  Participate with QAPI of pediatric echocardiograms and lab.  Participate in research projects in conjunction with the Director of Cardiology Non-Invasive imaging. 

 

Completion of certified Cardiovascular technology program required

Courses in echocardiography Adult and Pediatric

Registered in Pediatric Cardiology within one year of hire

Two years’ experience in pediatric echocardiography including fetal echocardiograms and adults with congenital heart disease.

 

High School Diploma or GED required.
