LEARNING EXPERIENCE DESIGNER

The Learning Experience Designer creates engaging, highly interactive, learner-centric digital learning experiences on clinical, compliance, safety, and professional development topics. This individual is accountable for distilling complex ideas into easily understood and compelling training materials that meet the needs of the learners and support the goals of the organization.  Working collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs), key stakeholders, and senior designers, the person in this role employs adult learning principles and a systematic instructional design process. This individual will have proficiency with standard eLearning development and video editing tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft PowerPoint, Camtasia’s recording, animation and video editing capabilities). Deliverables include online courses (e.g., elearning, microlearning), software simulations, video, job aids, and other learning activities. In addition, this person maintains well organized project documentation and folders with all content and course assets, conducts quality assurance reviews on digital learning deliverables, and provides technical support as needed for end-user issues related to digital learning. This person also serves as producer for remote training sessions as needed.

 

 Minimum education Bachelor's degree. Master's preferred.
- 2+ years of instructional design experience with demonstrated knowledge of instructional design methodology (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and engaging online learning activities. (Work samples will be requested.)
- Expertise with common eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate. 
- Expertise with video editing software such as Camtasia or Adobe Premeire.
- Experience with LMS (Learning Management Systems).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and common virtual meeting tools (Microsoft Teams or Zoom).
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Solid project management experience. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to set and  meet project deadlines
- Ability to work with internal clients in a consulting capacity. 
- Agile learner who uses available resources to keep knowledge current.
