MANAGER INSTRUMENT ROOM

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

 

  • The Instrument Room Manager has 24-hour responsibility for directing and coordinating the activities of Instrument Room Attendants engaged in preparation of sterile instruments.
  • The Instrument Room Manager participates in the budgetary process; tracks and reports instrument expenditures.
  • Establishes and implements auditing and management strategies to assure that instruments are available and in working condition.
  • Maintains sterile processing records according to AORN an AAMl standards.

 

SCHEDULE: 7 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.

 

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • CRCST certification required.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Five years of Sterile Processing or related experience required.
  • Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
