Position Description:

The Operations Manager is responsible for divisional  operations pertaining to human resources leadership, expertise, and solutions throughout the Department of Pediatrics in functional areas including recruitment and retention, compensation, training, operations, workforce planning and strategy. Responsible for Human Resources Management functions including handling 1199 and labor relations activities and concerns. This position will collaborate with departmental and divisional leadership to transform processes, design new workflows, develop and/or revise policies and procedures and implement new systems to increase productivity while delivering the highest quality service for patients. Supports the department's mission through oversight and management of all non-clinical and clinical staff with specific regard to staffing levels to support the clinical service, and to ensure patient health care needs are satisfactorily met. Continuously evaluates non-clinical sites to identify and address potential compliance matters or implements a corrective plan of action in accordance with internal and external regulatory agencies including TJC, HIPAA, Infection Control, CAP, Professional Services, and Environment of Care.  Assists with budget development around OTPS, salaries, and capital expenditures, and is responsible for monitoring and managing budget to ensure expenses stay within budgetary guidelines, and there is clear justification for space capital expenditures.


Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Five years' practice management experience is desirable.
