Montefiore Health System's network of primary care practices, known as Montefiore Medical Group (MMG), seeks Nurse Practitioners(NP) for our Urgent Care sites in the Bronx and Yonkers. We provide a collaborative team environment and the opportunity to make a difference in patient care in the Bronx. To qualify, you must have 2 years of post-training Urgent Care NP practice experience
In this role, the Urgent Care NP will:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide acute care to patients, including children, with a wide range of illnesses such as flu, colds, pink eye, back pains, strains, and injuries.
- Perform urinalysis, pregnancy tests, rapid strep assays, immunizations, physicals, blood pressure checks, x-rays, and laboratory services.
- Performs laceration repair as well as incision and drainage procedures for skin infections.
- Administer tests for Covid.
- Prescribes and administers medications.
- All treatments are within the scope of primary care. No lacerations or IV administration is required.

Requirements:
- 2 years of post-training Urgent Care practice experience
- NY license or eligibility
- Completion of US Accredited Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Board Certified
- DEA and BLS
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
