This Nurse Practitioner [NP] will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and administrative staff for the Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy program. S/he will be involved in patient acceptance to the program and will provide walk-in patient care, trouble shooting and routine care to avoid unnecessary ER visits and admissions. S/he will have frequent contact with infusion companies for indicated changes in care or medications. Knowledge and experience with vascular access devices is a plus. This NP will communicate with other providers, arrange imaging tests and IR services. S/he will identify and manage infections or complications as a result of IV antibiotic infusion services, educate patients on wound or line care, assess for medication side effects, and assist with the preparation of study reports. The NP will maintain a patient census and track compliance with monitoring of indicated labs.


Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or health related field.
  • NYS RN and NP license with up-to-date registration. Minimum of 1 year NP work experience with preferred experience caring for diabetics.
  • Familiarity with database utilization, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of standards of excellent clinical practice.
  • Wound care experience required.
