NURSING ATTENDANT

BRONX, NY, US


Provides direct patient care services such as assisting patients during activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, ambulating, and eliminating. Obtains and documents vital signs and specimens as required.

 

The Nursing Attendant is a member of a team dedicated to provide the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe, clean and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication, i.e., answering phones; transporting patients and assisting visitors. As an integral part of the team, the Nursing Attendant is responsible for activities, which promote patient focused care within the Patient Unit.

 

Education, Training & Experience:

High School Graduate or equivalent with vocational/technical training preferred.

Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.

Graduate of State Certified Program or 1-year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.

 

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
