The Division of Neonatology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to join our dynamic division and practice at the Jack D. Weiler Hospital, one of our two birthing hospitals. CHAM is a 192-bed nationally renowned academic children’s hospital providing inpatient, ambulatory, and emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents. CHAM is the pediatric hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is part of the Montefiore Health System serving a diverse patient population in the Bronx, Westchester County, and the Hudson Valley. The Jack D. Weiler Hospital is a 403-bed hospital and a Perinatal Regional Center with a 35 bed, level 4 NICU and approximately 4,000 deliveries per year. Our Neonatology Division currently includes 12 Neonatologists, 11 advanced practitioners, and 6 Neonatal Fellows. We consistently rank among the top programs for Neonatal Care in the US News and World Report.

 

We are looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician who is committed to the care of newborns and their families. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive medical care for newborn infants in the Delivery Room, as well as assisting in the Neonatal ICU and the Newborn Nursery. Care will include delivery room resuscitation and stabilization, evaluation of newborns, complex delivery room coordination, teaching of residents and medical students and participation in quality/performance improvement initiatives. Successful candidates will be energetic, enthusiastic, and will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We are looking for candidates who possess outstanding clinical skills and have experience in medical education. No nights/no call and no weekends.  Monday-Friday 7:30a-3:30p.  Scholarly productivity expectations will be aligned with the candidate’s interests and division’s mission. Academic rank will be at the level of Instructor.  

 

In addition to a competitive salary of $135,000-145,0000 we offer a comprehensive benefit package that includes LTD, STD, paid malpractice insurance, paid CME, health, dental, vision, a 403(b) or 457 and much more.
