Montefiore School Health Program (MSHP), the largest network of comprehensive school-based health centers in the nation, provides wide ranging medical, mental, dental, and community health services to more than 42,000 students attending NYC Department of Education public schools.

As the academic medical center and University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center is nationally recognized for clinical excellence.  Montefiore combines a deep commitment to the community with nationally renowned expertise to reach patients in locations easiest for them.  The Montefiore Medical Group - School Health Program provides high- quality medical, mental health, dental, and community health services at 31 school-based health centers in the Bronx.

 

Position Overview

Our program is currently recruiting for a licensed psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to serve at one of our ambulatory school health sites. This is a full-time (10 month) position.

Clinical responsibilities include mental health referral review/assignment, clinical intakes, individual and group therapy, parent/collateral work, and teacher consultation.

 

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess a N.Y.S. license and completion of APA accredited training.  Psychology candidates should be adept at working in an environment that encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork to enable patient care with a desire to work in a mission-driven environment to make a strong positive community impact.  Experience delivering school/parent presentations on mental health issues is desirable.

 

Positions are full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Competitive salary and benefits package. 2 months off in the summer.
